Why it's never a good idea to debate a religious Zionist

  • Avatar
People need to spend less time looking back and start to look forward on the future. These wonderful debates that go back to ancient times serve no purpose other than to perpetuate the conflict. The problem today is both sides accept a historical narrative that rationalizes their behavior. The truth was buried along with the historical facts a long time ago. Jewish nationalism and Palestinian nationalism are two sides of the same coin. This is the tragedy. Two sides blinded by the past where they can't see a future living in peace. Peace requires justice and security. Palestinians demand justice. Israeli's demand security. No mystery that it will take real leadership and statesmanship on both sides to deliver the peace both sides yearn and deserve. I see no such leadership in Israel or in Palestine that can do that. The truth be told about Jesus, above whatever title or label people want to put on him, he was first and foremost a peacemaker ( imho): " Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God".

God clearly says that HE, creator of the earth, gave Israel to the Jews. Arabs... Muslims have 22 and 55 countries to date, respectively.
Non-Jews who are born here can live here as long as they live in peace and obey the laws. But Israel PER GOD'S ORDER is a Jewish state. And He will soon sit on HIS throne in the newly re-built Temple and tell the world this Himself.
Though shall not covet... its a law for everyone. Because it keeps the peace. Arabs who do not want to live in peace under the law in a Jewish state can return to Saudi ARABIA.
READ THE WHOLE BIBLE. Then you will understand.

There is a small but critical error in your post.
            There is no god.

What about a entity who is in the business of allocating land to deserving people of his choice?

Take it up with Him. The Arabs will just have to make do with the 99.9% of the Middle East that they currently occupy.

Indeed, here we are in the year 2015. Israel has become an ugly, racist apartheid state. Its erstwhile aspiration of being "a light unto the nations" has turned into a bad joke.

                                                  * When the Muslims ruled OUR land, Jews were forbidden from entering the Tomb of the patriarchs, where OUR ancestors are buried in Hebron.
                                                  * When Muslims ruled OUR land, Jews were forbidden from visiting OUR holiest site, the Temple Mount.
                                                  * In fact, when the Arabs occupied Judea, Samaria, and Gaza in 1948, they ethnically cleansed ALL Jews, and now claim that Jews can't live here: THAT is apartheid.
We won't tolerate their ugly apartheid here in OUR land.

Apartheid = apart + hood. This has been what the would-have-been "Palestinians" have been fighting to achieve for over 100 years, and in fact, they did succeed in parts of OUR land.
From a Pew poll taken not long ago:

95% of Muslim "Palestinians" who pray several times a day and 68% who pray less often believe that Sharia should be the law of the land (p. 47)
44% of Muslim "Palestinians" believe that Sharia must be enforced upon non-Muslims as well (p.48)

The Zionist leadership chose war when it decided to try and take over the whole of Palestine in the knowledge that the indigenous people would resist their dispossession.
                                                                  • Avatar

The would-have-been “Palestinians” would have had a state IN PEACE in 1937 with the Peel Plan, but they violently rejected it.
They would have had a state IN PEACE in 1939 with the MacDonald White Paper, but they violently rejected it (and Jews would have even been restricted from BUYING land from Arabs).
They would have had a state IN PEACE in 1948 with UN 181, but they violently rejected it (and actually claimed that the UN had no such mandate!).
They could have had a state IN PEACE in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza from 1948-1967 without any Jews- because the Arabs had ethnically cleansed every last one; but they violently rejected it. In fact, that's exactly when they established Fatah (1959) and the PLO (1964).
They could have had a state IN PEACE after 1967, but instead, the entire Arab world issued the Khartoum Resolutions:
                                                                    A. No peace with Israel
                                                                    B. No recognition of Israel
                                                                    C. No negotiations with Israel
They would have had a state IN PEACE in 2000 with the Oslo Accords, but they violently rejected it- as always.
And as soon as Israel pulled every single Israeli out of Gaza, what did the would-have-been “Palestinians” do? They immediately started shooting thousands of missiles into Israeli population centers, they elected Hamas (whose official platform calls for jihad with no negotiations until Israel is destroyed) to rule them, and they have dug tunnels crossing into the Negev to kill and kidnap Israelis.
And even afterwards, Ehud Olmert made his subsequent generous offer that went far beyond even that of Barak. The would-have-been "Palestinians" rejected it.
                                                                    They had many chances.
They threw them all away because destroying Israel was higher on their priority list. It still is.
Oh well. That’s their choice. Game over for them. They won’t have a state here.
The Arabs will just have to learn to "make do" with their own 99.9% of the Middle East- including all of the oil, and stop trying to steal OUR tiny 1/10th of 1% without oil. The Philistines won't have a state here in Israel, and if they don't stop their violence, they won't even exist here anymore. They will be gone- sent back to their own lands elsewhere.
And THEN there will be peace

                                                          Understand this:
"...I will enter into judgment with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land." (Joel 4:2)
"For I will take you from among the nations, and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land." (Ezekiel 36:24)
"And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be My people, and I will be your G-d." (ibid. 12)
"And the land that was desolate shall be tilled, whereas it was a desolation in the sight of all that passed by. And they shall say: This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited. Then the nations that are left round about you shall know that I the L-rd have builded the ruined places, and planted that which was desolate; I the L-rd have spoken it, and I will do it." (ibid 34-36)
"...Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, and thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate." (Ezekiel 16:55)
Again shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall have the use thereof. For there shall be a day, that the watchmen shall call upon the mount Ephraim: arise ye, and let us go up to Zion, unto the L-RD our G-d.' (Jeremiah 31:4-5)

It is remarkable and way above my pay grade to understand if the resurrection of Israel was a divine act or man made. I can see why those who have a religious proclivity will jump on this as proof of God's plan being fulfilled. However, if I wanted to spend time on this question, I can easily provide an explanation outside the heavens. I don't want to spoil the party and get into nationalism in the 20th century and the Zionist movement. If you are right about God's plan, I will be the first to rejoice but how many more must die to prove the fallacy in your belief system? Christians are waiting for Armageddon, that is also part of God's plan - if you are a Christian. So be careful what you wish for.

Maybe it's all merely a "coincidence", right? I mean- there have been numerous other examples in history of a nation being exiled from their land for nearly 2000 years- to the 4 corners of the earth- and not only did they not disappear, not assimilate, but actually returned to their land as was promised in their holy books- right?
                                                                Name a few.
Can't? OK, then name one (besides the nation of Israel).

Half of Israeli's are Sephardim Jews - from ARABIA. You seem to confuse history with mythology. Therefore, let us start with a more accurate question. What people from Europe managed to colonize a far away land? It has happened. The Americas, New Zealand and Australia. Wasn't Herzel a European? The Ottoman Empire had to collapse. Hitler had to come to power. The Holocaust had to happen. Were those divine events? You tell me. In any case, it is more a miracle we have a black president in the United States than a Jewish state built by European colonialists in Palestine? The Ashkenazi Jews are Europeans. Why not they get in the colonial band wagon as they watched their goyem European brothers colonize Africa, Asia and beyond. These are all historical facts.
                                                                      • Avatar

Genetic evidence continues to provide additional proof to the claims that the Jewish people are descended from a common ancient Israelite father: Despite being separated for over 1,000 years, Sephardi Jews of North African origin are genetically indistinguishable from their brethren from Iraq, according to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
They also proved that Sephardi Jews are very close genetically to the Jews of Kurdistan, and only slight differences exist between these two groups and Ashkenazi Jews from Europe...

You guys can sell a red sea parting in the desert and this is a compliment. The truth is, you know as well as I do, Jews have the highest rate of atheists in their mix compared to other religious groups. Many don't believe the Torah to be literal yet you do. I can't help you. If you believe God's hand brought Israel back to you then who am I to say otherwise. Having said that, the story of Israel is remarkable - not because of it's existence, as I said, hardly unique to colonize a land with primitive people with no army( despite the Zionist myths), but the fact you endured so much under European anti-Semitism for so long and of course the final dastardly act of the Holocaust and come back from that is a feat worthy of high praise. The part of colonizing the land is not something I as a Palestinian can give you high marks for. But then again, it's not your fault, it is God Palestinians should be angry with.

There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of 1 percent of the landmass.
But that's too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today. Greed. Pride. Envy. Covetousness. No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough."

I think there is an Arab Nation, I always thought so and I didnt change my mind. I dont think there is a Palestinian Nation; I think it’s a Colonial invention Palestinian Nation. I think that until the end of the 19TH century, Palestine was the South of Great Syria.
